After selecting your textbook, you may choose from three different rental periods. You will then add the textbook to your cart, and then click on the checkout button. Now enter your personal information to establish your CollegeBookRenter.com account. Setting up your account with CollegeBookRenter.com is easy and free. Next, enter your shipping and billing addresses, along will your payment information. Once all of that has been completed, you will be allowed to review all of your personal and financial information before confirming your order. Once you have confirmed your rental order, you will immediately view a receipt page. The same receipt will be emailed to your account.
CollegeBookRenter.com has no membership fees. Each rental fee depends on the individual book, and shipping fees are charged based on the shipping option selected during checkout. The average rental price of a textbook is 60% lower than the list price!
Our policy on damaged textbooks is very strict, because we want to supply our college students with the best product possible. It is very important that you keep the books you have rented in the best possible condition; this will allow us to help other students save money on textbooks. Writing in the textbook will not be tolerated, however, minimal highlighting is allowed as it can be a helpful study tool.
If the textbook is determined unusable, you will be charged the full list price of the book. Each textbook will be thoroughly inspected upon arrival to our warehouse.

Any damage to a textbook that CollegeBookRenter.com determines will make the textbook unusable will result in a full list price charge. Damage due to shipping will be evaluated on an individual basis.
If the rented textbook is lost, stolen, or damaged during your rental period then you will be held responsible and will be charged the necessary penalty fees at the end of the rental period.
CollegeBookRenter.com understands that exceptions may occur in transit. Please check the date that you placed the order and the expected arrival date. Contact Customer Support after making sure that you have waited the appropriate amount of time based on the shipping option charged. Damage charges & refunds will be evaluated on an individual basis.

The return date for your textbook will be posted on your CollegeBookRenter.com account immediately following your purchase and will remain posted on your account throughout the rental period.
Example: If your rental period ends on May 25th, then you will receive a personalized email from CollegeBookRenter.com on May 18th.
At CollegeBookRenter.com, we understand that refunds will be requested from our customers for a number of reasons, including dropped or canceled classes. That is why CollegeBookRenter.com wants to handle each refund on an individual basis to ensure you receive the best service possible. If you require a refund, please contact Customer Service. You will be able to use the prepaid return label in your account to ship the book back to us. Please refer to our Return Policy for general return guidelines
If you would prefer to own your textbooks instead of renting them, then CollegeBookRenter.com is still the right place for you! Use the search bar to find the textbook you would like to purchase and CollegeBookRenter.com will provide you both a new and used purchase price for that textbook. CollegeBookRenter.com makes purchasing your textbooks as easy as renting them!
Don't forget...You can sell your textbooks back to CollegeBookRenter.com! Just click the "Sell Textbooks" icon at the top of the page.
Use the search bar on our Sell Textbooks page to receive a new and used buyback price on the textbook you would wish to sell. Please be aware that not all textbooks are available for buyback. You will also receive a CollegeBookRenter.com credit quote, which you can use to rent or purchase additional textbooks on CollegeBookRenter.com.
Once we receive your textbook, and a thorough inspection of the book is completed, CollegeBookRenter.com will send you a confirmation email notifying you that your payment has been sent. You will receive a second email from PayPal confirming your payment. (Usually within 24-48 hours) No more waiting for checks! Plus, we'll pay for your SHIPPING! A free return shipping label will be available in your CollegeBookRenter.com account for you to download.
You can purchase gift certificates from $50 to $500. Each gift certificate will have an individual code that can be used immediately after purchase. CollegeBookRenter.com will email the gift certificate directly to the email address provided. To select and order your gift card, click on the gift card tab and fill out all of the required information. Proceed to the checkout!
After receiving a gift card, log into your account and choose the books you want to rent. When checking out, make sure you enter the gift certificate code in the appropriate box and you are ready to go! If there is a balance after the gift card has been added, you will be asked for your credit card information & will then proceed through checkout as normal.

Each state has its own laws governing the charge of sales tax and/or rental tax for college textbooks. CollegeBookRenter.com charges sales and rental taxes as applicable based on your state's requirements. Some states require a verification that the textbook will be used for higher education. Customers ordering from those states will be required to confirm such usage.
CollegeBookRenter.com only ships to the contiguous United States, Alaska and Hawaii.

CollegeBookRenter.com makes returning textbooks easy and free!
1. Log in to your Collegebookrenter.com account using your email address and password.
2. Select the textbooks you want to return and click on the “Print Return Labels” button.
3. Print off the two packing slips for your order and the UPS shipping label.
4. Tape the UPS return shipping label to the package being used to return the textbook(s).
5. Make sure the packing slip is placed in the return package.
7. Drop the package at any UPS location and the rest is history!.
DO NOT MAIL YOUR TEXTBOOKS BACK TO COLLEGEBOOKRENTER.COM IN A USPS PRIORITY SHIPPING BOX. IF YOUR TEXTBOOK(S) ARRIVES IN A PRIORITY MAILER, THEN YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE ENTIRE RETURN SHIPPING COST.
ALL TEXTBOOKS MUST BE RETURNED TO COLLEGEBOOKRENTER.COM BY USING THE RETURN INSTRUCTIONS LISTED ABOVE. ANY TEXTBOOK(S) RETURNED TO A THIRD PARTY SELLER WILL BE SUBJECT TO PENALTIES FEES.
If your textbook(s) is not returned and or a UPS Return Label has not been generated by the last day of your rental period, then your credit card will be charged a 15 day extension fee.
If your textbook(s) is not returned and or a UPS Return Label has not been generated by the last day of your 15 day extension, then your credit card will be charged the list price of the textbook(s), minus the 15 day extension fee.
You will be notified via email of these charges!
We purchase books from several different on-line sellers to make sure you get the best service and the book you need, so your CollegeBookRenter.com order may arrive in a non-CollegeBookRenter.com branded package. The invoice in the package is only for our records and does not reflect the amount you paid. The amount you were charged can be found in your order details on your account page, or on order confirmation emails.
You may want to save the packaging to make the return shipping easy and to prevent waste. Just remember to go to your account page and download the preprinted label.
CollegeBookRenter.com does not guarantee that any supplemental materials related to the textbook will be included.
Login to your CollegeBookRenter.com account and choose the edit account information" option located under the Account Information section. From there, simply remove the checkmark from the "I want to receive promotional emails from CollegeBookRenter.com and its affiliate" box and save your changes. Please be aware that customers who choose to opt-out will still receive notifications regarding their orders (such as order & shipment confirmations).
